From Pain to Pleasure

Everyone moves away from pain and towards pleasure; and smoking a regular cigarette - if we are brutally honest with ourselves does just that. Think about it - what are you doing when you are having a smoke? Having a cup of coffee :- a 5 minute break out the day, nipping out of the office :- a break from work, post-sex :- enjoying that warm glow, watching a DVD at home :- chilling on the sofa. You can see where i'm going with this; smoking - as well as having the addictive nicotine - is something we do to enhance pleasure - we associate smoking with doing nice things.

Not surprising then that it is hard to leave the fags, and watching all the TV adverts about quitting, and the celebrity agony of those few celebs being filmed giving up - it all re-enforces the pain of quitting.

But it doesn't have to be painful if you switch to Electronic Cigarettes. Because E.Cigs mimic regular cigarettes, you have the same physical sensations - the pleasure of deep inhalation, the warm vapour in your mouth, the vapour release to mimic the smoke, and still that same hand to mouth action. Plus you are still getting the nicotine, so no painful withdrawal symptoms. What you don't have is the pain of knowing you are inhaling carbon monoxide and thousand of chemicals.

The E.Cig goes with you - where ever you are - they are legal to use in pubs, clubs and at work. They don't leave an offensive smell; in fact the slight odour they do give is a very faint pleasant sweet one.

Switching to an Electronic Cigarette is not painful, it's a pleasure, and an easy one at that.

Birmingham man arrested over Electronic cigarette

A SIXTY-A-DAY smoker was arrested after a pub row sparked by a fake "cigarette" designed to help him kick the habit.

Paul Deeks spent a night in the cells after police were called to The Dog Inn at Bearwood amid claims that vapours from his £50 Electronic Cigarette substitue were upsetting regulars.

The pub said police were called when he ignored "polite" requests to put out the £50 dummy cigarette.

But Mr Deeks denied the allegation and other claims that he was abusive to staff and refused to leave the venue.

The 53 year old, of Lightwoods Hill, Bearwood, said: "Four police officers arrived."

"I approached them and explained what was going on."

"They asked me to leave and i did. I was cool, calm and collected."

"I was not abusive and did not use any bad language."

"I tried to explain to the officers what had happened but they would not listen."

"I said 'if you're going to ignore me you might as well arrest me' - so they did."

A Smokefree England spokesman said Mr Deeks was within his legal rights to use the Electronic Cigarette because it did not emit smoke.

But he conceded: "It would be an idea to ask permission first."

A pub spokesman said: "A customer was politely asked on several occasions to refrain from smoking an electronic cigarette inside the pub."

"Due to the customer's refusal to follow the wishes of staff and his subsequent behaviour towards them, he was asked to leave the premises, which he also refused to do."

"As is always a last resort, police were called to assist with the situation."

Mr Deeks was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and carted off to Piddock Road police station in Smethwick following the incident.

It happened at about 11:30pm on January 9. He was detained until 8am the next day and also hit with an £80 fine.

Mr Deeks said he was unhappy at the way he was treated by police and asked for the force to review CCTV evidence from inside the pub.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Staff at the Dog Inn called police after a customer suspected of being drunk and disorderly was refusing to leave."

"Officers spoke with the man, who again refused to leave."

"The man was then escorted from the premises."

"After attempting to re-enter the pub and behaving in a disorderly manner, the man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and later issued with a fixed penalty notice."

A Poll shows the Electronic cigarette a Popular Choice among Quitters

A poll conducted by R. Malcolm from the Royal London Hospital, shows that those who are trying to quit smoking prefer the Electronic Cigarette as their stop smoking aid. More than half of the smokers polled chose the Electronic Cigarette as the device or method that was the most helpful to them while trying to kick the habit. Each of the participants in the study sampled four different quitting methods and more than hald of them found the Electronic Cigarette to be the ideal product among the ones tested to help them quit.

While the Electronic Cigarette is not touted as a stop smoking aid in the other parts of the world, it is the preference of those who use stop smoking aids who selected the device. It is the smokers who must use the various products on the market and their opinion is the only one that should count. As more people try to kick the habit or find a healthier way to smoke, the Electronic Cigarette deserves a place among the other widely accepted products.

The Electronic Cigarette offers smokers a chance to substitute their traditional cigarettes with a device that mimics the act of smoking while delivering nicotine to the system to stem nicotine cravings. Cravings are one of the problems that can derail a smoker's effort to give up traditional tobacco products.

The device also helps smokers work through the psychological hold that smoking has on them. Smoking while doing a certain activity can be one of the hardest habits to break for an active smoker. Those habits have become a daily part of a smoker's life that long after the nicotine cravings have passed, the psychological need remains intact. Driving, drinking coffee, after dinner or socializing in a club are some of the places and activities that encourage smokers to keep on smoking. The Electronic Cigarette gives the smoker another option that allows them to participate in the activity without inhaling dangerous chemicals from a tobacco product.

Over time the smoker can learn to work on those behaviours while weaning from nicotine. The devices come with varing levels of nicotine cartridges and some contain no nicotine at all. This is helpful for those who have kicked the nicotine but not the psychological habit yet. It may take longer to be free of the hold that the act of smoking has on a smoker than it is to be free nicotine addiction.

For those who are looking for a way to stop smoking, the only product that tackles the psychological aspect of quitting is the Electronic Cigarette. Nicotine gums, patches, lozenges etc. do not do anything other than deliver nicotine to the body.

The method of delivery is a matter of concern for a smoker as well. Inhaling nicotine allows the body to get an immediate dose of the nicotine in a way that a lozenge or gum cannot do. These are just a couple of the reasons that some smokersa fail to quit.

Celebrity Big Brother

Have you checked out who is using E.Cigs in the celebrity world?

The Titan has a big brother, and if it was in human form it would be Vinnie Jones. This big brother is an amazing E.Cig called the Tornado. It's just as cool, with the same street cred, toughness and classic style as Vinnie, built to last, with no messing; we know all the guys will want one.

We decided to extend the Titan range as we believe it is such a fantastic E.Cig. The Titan Mega gives you extended battery life of up to 4 hours, and it still has that slim cigarette feel to it. The Tornado, with it's stronger battery has a slightly bulkier feel to it, but it is designed in such a way, with its adapter beautifully covered by the smooth black cone, it doesn't look bulky, it looks classy. The weight feels just right in your hand, altogether it just looks and feels great, plus it lasts much longer. We know this is another winner from the Joytech stable.

Made by Joytech, it fits all the Titan Accessories, uses the Titan Atomiser so you can still enjoy the great throat hit and still get plenty of vapour that the Titan is famous for, but now you can smoke for longer. The Tornado has a fantastic battery capacity of 650mAh, which means that once fully charged it will last the average smoker a solid 6-8 hours before needing to be charged again.

Exclusive to us at TECC, and just arrived in, priced very modestly at £49.99 this is an E.Cig you will want to own.

Each kit comes with two manual batteries, two atomisers, one adapter, one atomiser cone, one charger, one UK charger lead, ten prefilled cartridges (5x16mg, 2x11mg & 1x0mg), plus the instruction manual.

Judge orders F.D.A. to stop blocking imports of E.Cigarettes from China

A federal judge on Thursday ordered Food and Drug Administration to stop blocking the imporatation of Electronic Cigarettes from China and indicated that the devices should be regulated as tobacco products rather than drug or medical devices.

Judge Richard J. Leon of Federal District Court in Washington issued a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit brought by two distributors of the so-called E.Cigarettes, which are battery powered tubes that heat liquid nicotine into an inhalable vapor and are meant to simulate the taste of tobacco.

The distributors say the vapor contains virtually none of the cancer-causing chemicals of traditional cigarettes, but the F.D.A says it has not been proved safe.

"This cayse appears to be yet another example of F.D.A's aggressive efforts to regulate recreational tobacco products as drugs or devices," Judge Leon wrote.

With the passage of landmark tobacco legislation last year, he added, the Food and Drug Administration's new tobacco division will be able to regulate the contents and marketing claims of E.Cigarettes in the same way it is about to begin regulating traditional tobacco products. But the agency's drug division cannot ban the devices, the judge ruled.

The Food and Drug Administration issued a brief statement: "The public health issues surrounding electronic cigarettes are serious concerns to the F.D.A. The agency is reviewing Judge Leon's opinion and will decide the appropriate action to take"

Ray Story, vice president of an E.Cigarette company in Florida that filed the suit, said the ruling was a victory for smokers who want a safer cigarette.

"The public will have a much less harmful alternative to tobacco products," Mr. Story said. "Wherever they're sold, we are going to be sold."

Jack Leadbeater, chief executive of Sottera, an Arizona company that joined the suit, said border authorities would have to stop blocking and seizing imports and would have to release thousands of impounded E.Cigarettes and millions of nicotine cartridges.

Mr Leadbeater, chairman of the Electronic Cigarette Association, estimated that the products were a $100 million business nationwide.

Matthew L. Myers, president of the antismoking advocacy group Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, said the ruling opened a gaping loophole in the legislation his organization and other health groups had promoted to give the Food and Drug Administration authority to regulate tobacco products.

The law, signed by President Obama last June, was intended for traditional tobacco products, not electronic ones where nicotine levels and flavors could be easily adjusted, Mr Myers said.

He said E.Cigarettes possed several potential serious risks to public health, including lack of controls on potency, a means to discourage current smokers from quitting by providing an alternative in smoke-free spaces and the possibility "these products could serve as a pathway to nicotine addiction for children."

Judge Leon argued that the devices should be regulated in the same way as cigarettes. The Judge also agreed with the distributors that E.Cigarettes were not marketed as medical devices to help smokers quit, as the Food and Drug Administration had argued, but rather as safer substitues to give users "the nicotine hit that smokers crave."

The plastic tubes, shaped like cigarettesm have a heating element to vaporize a refillable liquid nicotine mixture. They have electronics to monitor air flow so that when a user inhales, the device delivers a vapor with a taste and feel that the distributors say simulates cigarette smoke.

Traditional cigarette makers have not been involved in the fledgling industry.

New research confirms: E.Cigarette the most efficient way to beat smoking

Some good news for the smokers, a small research made by professor R.Malcolm from the Royal London Hospital (U.K) discovered some amazing facts about the most efficient way to quit smoking traditional cigarettes.

People have been smoking for thousands of years as a part of tradition and lifestyle. We smokers always think about quitting smoking because of the harmful effects smoking causes, but still keep up with our bad habit. But there's some good news to us smokers, new research made by professor R.Malcolm from the Royal London Hospital (U.K) discovers some amazing facts about the most efficient way to quit smoking traditional cigarettes.

On the 10th of May 2009, the biggest experiment about stop smoking methods started. The experiment was tested on 65 heavy smokers, between the age's 25-65 men and women. The research approves the efficiency of the most popular products for smoking recession. The experiment checks out 4 most popular products:

- Nicotine Gum
- Nicotine Sticker
- Rehab Group
- Electronic Cigarette

The entire participants tried for 30 days each product and reported daily about their feelings and cravings for a cigarette. In the end of each month the participants graded from 1-10 the efficiency of the product.

The research concludesthe following facts:

5% chose the Nicotine sticker as the best substitue
18% chose the Nicotine gum as the most efficient
23% chose the rehab group as the most efficient
54% chose the electronic cigarette as the ideal product to beat smoking.

The research determines that the majorityhave chosen the electronic cigarette as the most efficient solution to reduce or stop smoking.

The E.Cigarette smoke is actually vapour that gives smokers the same aroman, taste and feeling smoking a regualr cigarette without all the harmful chemicals. The Electronic Cigarette has no tobacco, no tar and no real smoke, therefore - it lacks the most dangerous chemicals and toxics a normal cigarette has. A normal cigarette releases up to 4,000 chemical compounds when lit up, and many of them are toxic and carcinogenic (can cause cancer). The Electronic Cigarette is by far healthier than a normal cigarette.

The smart idea about electronic cigarette is that you can start with the nicotine cartridges and then graduate to the non-nicotine cartridges and then you will finally be nicotine smoke free.

The E.Cigarette looks like a real cigarette and its battery powered. You can choose different flavours and nicotine strength for your personal preferences. Another convenient thing is you can practically vape them anywhere.

So if you're tired from trying and thinking about quit smoking...Electronic Cigarette might be the perfect solution for you!
